Crazy Crochet

Hats and Scarves

My godmother Kate kindly taught me how to crochet when I was a teenager. I have fond memories of creating small purses and pouches back then. However, as I grew older, I gradually stopped crocheting. It wasn't until I fell ill during college as a returning student that I decided to pick up my trusty crochet hook again. With just a $5.00 ball of green yarn, I created my first crazy hat, scarf and fingerless gloves to keep me warm.

As I persevered through the challenges college threw my way, I rediscovered my passion for crochet. I enjoyed creating unique pieces that brought warmth and humor to life during trying times. With each stitch, I allowed my imagination to roam free, and in doing so, I developed a newfound appreciation for this craft. Crocheting helped me overcome challenges and provided a creative outlet that I looked forward to during cold winter months.

Rain Catchers

The raindrops on my head inspired me the create these Rain Catchers during a storm. I created these versatile pieces that keep me warm and triple as a scarf, shawl, and crown protector when I'm out and about during the worst winter days.
