I started sewing to create costumes for elegant dancing balls and expanded into what I call functional fabric art, quilt making, and now teaching. Transforming pieces of fabric into artwork, decorative items, and something beautiful is an accomplishment. In addition, sewing is an excellent stress reliever. When I feel overwhelmed or anxious, I focus on a project at my sewing machine. The repetitive motion of stitching helps calm and center my thoughts, making me more relaxed. Overall, sewing brings immense joy, creativity, and fulfillment.
